Our Dallas provider engineers will be performing an annual IOS/firmware upgrade on the customer front end router on Saturday May 17th starting at 4:00am EST-7:00AM EST. Connectivity will be unavailable at various points during the above maintenance window. Although they expect this upgrade of the supervisor engines to only take approximately 15 minutes, they have scheduled a larger maintenance window in case of issues.

May 2 : UK/LONDON General Connectivity Issue ***Resolved***
Dear clients,
There is currently a significant problem with LINX.
LINX:(LINX is where the majority of UK Internet Service Providers and content providers connect to each other and exchange traffic.)
There is a considerable amount of network disruption at other UK-EU providers as a result of this problem at LINX. If you use certain UK providers to connect to us you may see performance adversely affected and also packet loss; this is a problem at the provider/LINX end rather than our provider.
Unfortunately the problem is outside our provider control as LINX is a different network.
We will update this ticket as soon as we have news on the problem.

Apr 23th & 24th : **Dallas Network issues**
Dear Clients,
There are a few events in Dallas area that are causing network problems since yesterday afternoon the 23 April.
- There was a fiber cut yesterday on Abovenet network which created saturation of some internet lines.
- Level 3 had routing issues since around 2pm yesterday, our provider turned off their link to level3 but still many internet providers use that company to transfer their data. (issue resolved)
- ATT is having major issues in dallas area all their lines looks to be tuned off and it is still ongoing. See here: http://www.internethealthreport.com (select ATT) this issue is now resolved.
Hopefully these companies will fix their problems soon and it will go back to normal.
Unfortunaly our provider have no control over these events as these problems are outside their network.

Apr 11th and 12th: Chicago scheduled maintenance
Dear Clients,
On the morning of Friday April 11th, our Chicago provider will have a scheduled network maintenance from midnight to 4AM CDT.
This maintenance should not involve any downtime and should be relatively transparent as links being worked on will be taken down gracefully , you might experience disconnections while the route are modified.
There will then be a second maintenance on Saturday April 12th, from 2AM to 3AM CDT,it will definitely involve downtime for most of our customers. There will be upgrades made to a majority of our provider core routing equipment at this time.
Total downtime should not exceed 30 minutes.

Jan 22 New Jersey Issue
Dear Clients,
We would like to apologize for the issues you experienced today and this week at our New Jersey location.
This week our provider had been troubleshooting a fiber issue between two primary locations. Operating in a failed mode (during fiber testing) created periodic capacity issues, and as you've seen at times disconnects when traffic was moved from one link to another.
This fiber issue is fixed as of today.
Later today (22nd) a primary route carrier failed forcing our provider to reroute a big portion of the traffic. There was a configuration problem in some of the alternate routes creating an outage for some of our IP space with that provider. This has now also been corrected.
We are going to issue 5 days of credit to ALL New Jersey clients this evening.

This maintenance was scheduled for the 8th but moved to the 9th.
We have a problem of operating system on vent28 that requires a format.
We expect 1.5-2 hours of downtime for this to be completed. Your servers will come back online automatically and your settings will be kept.

10:15Am: After two attempts at formatting we changed the hardisk to a new one as it was not working properly. We are attempting another format and if it looks like its still causing problem we will replace the machine.
10:45Am: The new hardisk fixed the issue, the OS reload is almost complete, we will start backup restoration shortly.
11:15Am: Os reload is completed and backup restored. Servers are back online
2:35pm: The Network card is having problem autonegociating, we will force the port speed and turn off autonegociation in a few minutes and everything should be back to normal

Nov 18: Ventrilo Client Version 3.0.1 Released
Flagship/Ventrilo will be releasing a new fixed version 3.0.1 of the client software Monday morning with these changes:

- User Editor: Made current user list window wider and added support for horizontal scroll bar when needed.
- User Editor: Pressing new button will now default Duplicate IPs to No Limit.
- User Editor: Generic User and Generic admin profiles now default Duplicate IPs to No Limit.
- User Editor: Removed feature where clicking on an existing account name in the main window would cause a selection change in the UE Window. While useful in some cases it creates more - - problems then it solved. Might make this an option in a future version.
- Main Window: Display of the (GUEST) tag is now off by default. Can be turned on via new menu option View -> Guest tags.
- Guest MOTD: Now provides option to display only if it changes.
- Chat: Time stamp option will now display correct month number.
- Menu: When paired with 3.0.1 server, using the Server Admin -> Login will now allow certain menu items to be usable instead of grayed out.
IMPORTANT:
We will upgrade ALL servers early Monday morning.
We expect 10 minutes of downtime per server, your settings will be kept and the servers will come back online by themselves.

Nov - Ventrilo 3.0.1 patch will be released in a few days
Due to recent problems and issues with GUEST and duplicate IP addresses. The Ventrilo program will be updated as soon as possible to fix these issues.

Duplicate IP problems:
Issue is fixed. All settings allow dupicate IP addresses by default.
How to remove the (GUEST)
In order to remove the (GUEST) next to a users name, simply download the Ventrilo 3.0.1 client software or higher. The GUEST tag has been removed by default
Control Panel Options Limited
There are many options we can no loger provide inside our web control panel due to the fact that ventrilo does not allow the modification of files in this manner.
Old Versions
Upgrading to Ventrilo 3.00 makes it impossible to join older Ventrilo servers. The older ventrilo servers are required to be changed to 3.00 very soon.

Nov 14 Morning - Ventrilo 3.0 Release
We are pleased to announce that Flagship will be releasing the new Ventrilo 3.0 version Wednesday morning Nov 14th.
We will start the upgrade process as soon as the ventrilo client is available to download.
Our Ventrilo control panel will be upgraded at this time as well. Please be patient as we will be working as fast as we can to handle this upgrade.
Here are the official download links for the Ventrilo 3.0 version (only available on Nov 14th):

Ventrilo 3.0 client is not compatible with the 2.3 server - wait to download the new client version until your server has been upgraded.
When a 2.3 client tries to connect to a 3.0 server it will pop a message saying the server is now running 3.0.0. However, if they install the 3.0 client and then try connecting to a 2.3 server it will just sit there saying Contacting server and will never come back. But they can click disconnect to stop this process.
Your voice server will go offline during this period and return online automatically after the upgrade.
You will not need to login to our website to start your server.
